Your History and the Roots of Your Addiction

History

noun  his·to·ry  \ˈhis-t(ə-)rē\

If you know my history with addiction, which I share on my website, you learned that after using “traditional” rehabilitation and then subsequently relapsing, I tried a different method. My “rehab” the next time around was a whole other experience, as I turned to Depth Hypnosis and began healing on an even deeper level. Depth Hypnosis has helped me become deeply at peace with myself. For the first time in my life, I feel settled. At the core level, I know that I am okay and that I am being taken care of. My mission through ReFind Healing is to now help others experience the same powerful self-healing I have discovered through Depth Hypnosis.

Others who have dealt with addiction and recovery have their own history and can look to their past for some of the answers they are looking for. Isa Gucciardi, creator of Depth Hypnosis and founder of the Foundation of the Sacred Stream believes that “divorce, death, and abusive conditions in early childhood correlate with the roots of the addictive process. By taking an emotional biography of the person as well as a presenting biography of the addiction, it is surprising to see how predictable the onset of an addiction is in response to events which are viewed as producing soul loss or power loss.” ReFind uses the powerful healing modality of Depth Hypnosis to help you get to the root of the issue, the root of the discomfort, and the root of the pain.

Depth Hypnosis draws on Shamanism, Energy Medicine, Hypnotherapy, Buddhism, and Transpersonal Psychology and has the ability to provide long lasting results. Healing can happen quickly and effectively if the patient is willing to dig into their past and learn from what has happened. Sometimes, the person who wants to escape from their addiction needs to get to the root of the problem that is causing the addiction in the first place. Otherwise, it is possible they will be at a higher risk of a relapse.

The risk of not getting to the root of your addiction is three-fold. The possibility of relapse, the lack of sobriety causing unhappiness, and the failure to make progress in your recovery, keeps you stuck. Gucciardi reiterates: “Addictions fulfill the main criteria of energetic interference in that they disrupt the flow of a person’s life energy. By engaging in addiction and trying to either recreate the energy patterns underlying traumatic events in a controlled way or erase those patterns, a person loses choice over how he uses his life energy.” It is crucial to use your energy towards healing and looking deep within yourself to your core.

Self-healing is very individual and can differ depending on the patient’s needs and experiences. At ReFind, we work with you to create deep, long-lasting healing so you can return to your most powerful and joyful self. ReFind offers 3, 4, and 9 month programs depending on your needs and where you are in your recovery journey. Working together, you will begin to understand that you may be using drugs or alcohol to medicate and to cope. You must heal and look at your history for misaligned patterns or trauma to find what is causing your addiction.
